GALUNGAN FESTIVAL
Galungan is one of the Great Holy Days in Bali which publicly celebrated by all Balinese Hindus on the island of Bali. Rituals are centralised all temples: family temples, territorial temples, functional temples and public temples. This usually takes a day to complete worshiping in those temples. KUNINGAN FESTIVAL
Kuningan Day is one of Hindu's holy days in Bali which celebrated every 210 days, exactly 10 days after Galungan Day (the day of victory "Dharma - good spirits against Adharma - evil spirit) coincides with Saniscara Kliwon Kuningan.
Rituals on Kuningan Day at Sakenan Temple, Denpasar-Bali
In 2020, Kuningan Day is on Saturday, 29 February 2020. Million of Balinese people celebrate Kuningan festival across the island. The rituals will be centralised in public temples and territorial temple. The most crowded one will be Sakenan Temple located in South Denpasar.

NUSA DUA LIGHT FESTIVAL

Modern tourism is now available in Bali. Nusa Dua Light Festival offers tourists such a spectacular view of sparkly lights around Nusa Dua Beach - the most exclusive tourism site in Bali.
The best time to visit Nusa Dua Light Festival is when the dark begins or about 19:00 onward as the lights are seen beautiful when the surrounding is dark. Visitor can also have some light dinner on the site while enjoying this annual event. Foods like grilled sousage, french fries, burger, hot dog, bakso, noddle, etc.; and also drinks like juice, beer and wide ranges of soft drinks.
It is very geart to spend an hour or two around Nusa Dua Light Festival for relaxing and enjoying the breeze of the southern coastal line of Bali-the paradise island.

PANCA WALI KRAMA
20 January to 4 April 2019
Gaze at authentic cultural attractions at Besakih Temple - the largest Hindu temple complex in Bali between 20 January to 4 April 2019! A rite called Panca Wali Krama is taking place at Besakih Temple where hundreds of rites cunducted by Hindus in Bali during the period.
Millions of Balinese Hindu are visiting the temple to worship the almight God to beg for blessing. So tourists can see this authentic attractions any time of the days: morning, afternoon or even evening. Hindus in Bali across the island come in turn to the temple to pray on this particular occasion.
The peak rite of Panca Wali Krama which comes every 10 years falls on 6 March 2019 which is led by Hindu priests coming from different backgrounds and castes. This is the symbol of harmony where Hindu leaders sit together on the same seats and conducted this very special rite.
OGOH-OGOH FESTIVAL
6 March 2019
Ogoh-ogoh festival is conducted on 6 March 2019 or a day prior to Nyepi Day (the Day of Silence). Ogoh-ogoh is a giant doll believed to be the symbol of evil spirits which shall be neutralised one day before the Nyepi Day in order not disturbing the celebration of the Silence Day. Ogoh-Ogoh for Pengerupukan Day
Millions of Balinese people will gather in the main junctions of the villages, sub-districts, regencies or cities and province carrying Ogoh-Ogoh. The ritual called "Tawur Agung Kesanga" wherein the rituals take place in each region between 14:00 and 21:00 hours to balance the universe by serving offerings to both god and evil spirits.
The Ogoh-ogoh is usually carried out along with thier own region by the teenagers, then to be centralised in the nearest main junctions to gather with others. Of course, the Ogoh-Ogoh will be accompanied with Gamelan - traditional Balinese music to make the festival much more alive.

In Denpasar City for instance, the Ogoh-Ogoh festival can be seen in the main junction of Catur Muka located in the central near by the Heritage Site of Jalan Gajah Mada or exactly in front of the Municipality Office of Denpasar. Other Ogoh-Ogoh may also be gazed at the junctions of Bypass Ngurah Rai Road and Gatot Subroto Roads.
PURIFICATION RITES
3-5 March 2019
Balinese people are conducting Melasti (purification rite) to purify sacred goods (the symbol of Gods) as well as body and soul in beaches across the island of Bali-the endless rite island. Different region has different date to conduct this purification ritual which really depends on the local policy.

In the Southern region, beached like Batu Bolong Beach, Kuta Beach, Petitenget Beach, Melasti Beach, Sanur Beach and Padanggalak Beach will be flooded by Hindus wearing their traditional Balinese worshipping costumes while attending this Melasti rite.
In Gianyar Regency, the purification ritual usually take place at Purnama Beach and Lebih Beach which is located off Bypass Professor Ida Bagus Mantra.
In Klungkung Regency, the ritual shall take place at Watu Klotok Beach which also sited Bypass Professor Ida Bagus Mantra and Goa Lawah Beach which located on the main road to Karangasem.
In Karangasem, Melasti rite usually takes place at Manggis Beach located on the main road to Karangasem.
In Northern Bali, Melasti rite is taking place at Segara Beach, located around the Harbour Heritage site.
The ritual of Melasti usually begins very early in the morning between 5 am and 5 pm. So, most of the roads will be full of traffics.
The ritual is undertaken in connection with Nyepi - the Day of Silence which shall be practised on 7 March 2019. On Nyepi day, all people in Bali are practising the four Berata Penyepian including: no fire, no work, no travel and no entertainment.
